- Before You Start !
- ------------------

- You need to have purchased and installed a Professional Edition Licence for
- Active Media Eclipse v.3.0 or later before NetEclipse will work.
- This is a mandatory requirement, if you try and run NetEclipse prior to running
- Active Media Eclipse or applying a valid licence code you will receive the message
- 'The licence was corrupt or not found. Please re-install Active Media NetEclipse
- Network Manager'.

- Active Media NetEclipse only works with screen saver 'User Setup Wizards'
- created by Active Media Eclipse and Active Media Technology bespoke screen
- savers only.

- What Is Active Media NetEclipse ?
- ---------------------------------

- Active Media NetEclipse is intended to provide network managers and administrators
- with an easy means of distributing and remotely installing screen savers created by
- Active Media Eclipse v.3.0. Installation and configuration is effected by the use
- of 'push technology', that is to say, a single copy of the screen saver to be distributed
- is held on the server and intelligently copied to all client computers, installed and
- configured completely seeminglessly and without any user intervention.

- NetEclipse has two essential components:

- o Network Manager ( NetEclipse Manager.exe )
- o Network Client ( NetEclipse Client.exe )

- The Network Manager allows the network administrator to specify what screen savers
- will be installed on what days, either daily, weekly or monthly.

- The Network Client needs to be executed by the client PC ( a PC attached to the
- network ) either by placing it in the Windows 'start up' folder or more usually through
- a network logon script. This ascertains the screen saver that is to be installed as
- specified by the network administrator and then checks to see whether it is currently
- installed. If it is not then it is copied in compressed form from the server to the local
- computer, configured and installed completely automatically making the distributed screen
- saver the Windows default.

- Client Screen Saver Installation Log
- ------------------------------------

- As the client processes requests to install the current screen saver to be installed as set
- within the Network Manager, a detailed logging file is written for information purposes.

- Active Media Technology strongly recommend that you use anti-virus software to check
- distribution disk. Active Media Technology cannot be held responsible for viruses
- distributed as a result of using Active Media Eclipse or Active Media NetEclipse.

- Anti-Piracy Software Protection

- Active Media Eclipse has rigorous anti-piracy protection, be warned that any detected
- attempt made to use illegal 'licence code key generators' or to apply cracks to the
- application or environment will result in Active Media Eclipse disabling itself.
- If you suspect that your copy of Active Media Eclipse may be tampered with in any way,
- please report this to Active Media Technology.
